Take a step out your back door and you aren't very far away
from one of Tooele's Park. From quiet solitude
in a small park to jogging, from skating
to swimming, you aren't far away
from activity. You will find wide variety of events this summer
from the art's festival to the county fair. There is something for
everbody here in Tooele. Many of our parks have pavilions.
You can reserve a pavilion for outdoor activities. There are several
pavilions to choose from. One of Tooele's parks have a walkway
connecting the park to the local neighborhood.
Like to swim? The Pratt
Aquatic Center has it all. Not only its is the newest and most
popular swimming attraction, the Center has recevied state and national
attention as being one of the best aquatic centers ever built. The
Pratt Aquatic Center was named in honor of a wonderful local swimming
coach, mentor, and teacher.In addition to a full size pool complete
with a regular size and high diving board, it has an eight lane
competition lap pool (with plenty of seating to watch the competitions).
Adults and kids both love the leisure pool which features a thrilling
water slide. If you are a bit shy about the water, the pool even
features a graded children's wading pool which has gentle sloping.
It's a great way for adults and children to begin water adventures.
Nowhere else in the entire state will you find swimming adventures
as fine as what you will find in the Pratt Aquatic Center.
Want to walk the
Gold Medal Mile? You can! You can find it easily. Markers are
placed all along the path. Its safe, pleasant, and a wonderful way
to walk a mile a day. Think a mile is a long way? It really isn't.
Beginners can walk it in 15 to 20 minutes.
